Prof. Raimund Zell

(Linz)

was born in 1977 and grew up in Swabia, he was a horn player in the Gewandhausorchestra in Leipzig during 10 years, before that he had played for one year in the Radio Symphony Orchestra in Stuttgart, in the Komischen Oper Berlin and in the Staatskapelle Dresden as well, for ten years he has been playing in the Mahler-Chamber-Orchestra, moreover he is regularly playing for the famous symphonic and opera orchestras in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. He has been working a large part of the concert and opera repertoire with most of the world known musical directors of our time. He has won numerous national and international contests as a soloist and as a chamber musician. Moreover, besides playing in orchestras, he is engaged in chamber music, as a soloist and as a teacher as well. After working for six years at the University of Arts in Berlin and for one year at the Univeristy of Arts in Bern, he is now holding the chair in horn at the Anton Bruckner University in Linz and at the Univeristy for Music and Arts in Graz as well. In addition he is working as a mental coach.
